Application Guidelines
Important Installation Notes:
  • Professional electrician installation required - turn off power before installation
  • PIR sensors cannot penetrate materials - ensure clear line of sight to detection area
  • Reduced detection sensitivity in cold conditions with thick clothing
  • Avoid directing sensor toward heat sources (air conditioners, heaters)
  • Indoor use only - outdoor sunlight affects detection accuracy
  • Test with 5 units minimum before mass installation in new environments
  • Requires stable DC power supply with low ripple factor (<100mV)
Detection Performance Considerations:
  • Detection distance varies with height, mounting position, and environmental temperature
  • Reduced sensitivity when ambient temperature approaches human body temperature (36℃-37℃)
  • False triggering possible when ambient/LED tray temperature exceeds 55℃
  • Daylight threshold measurements vary with environment, weather, and time-of-day
Potential False Triggering Scenarios:
  • Small animals entering detection range
  • Direct exposure to far-infrared rays from sunlight, headlights, or incandescent lamps
  • Rapid temperature changes from HVAC systems or humidifiers
Potential Non-Triggering Scenarios:
  • Obstructions like glass or acrylic blocking infrared transmission
  • Minimal movement or extremely high-speed movement of heat sources
Note: Product specifications subject to change due to continuous improvement. Dimming performance may vary with different DALI2 drivers.
